MACA Museum is proud to welcome “Faerdom” by Studio Fromm, an exhibition of digital and hand-crafted artworks that explores mythical narratives through the medium of digital art practices.

Fromm is a British 3D studio by Vince Ibay and Jessica Miller who craft fantasy worlds and experiences using emerging digital technologies such as photogrammetry, motion capture and VR.

Since founding the studio in 2022 they have worked on a broad range of commissions, from music videos and advertisements to illustrations for billboards, magazines and social media.

Through a unique concoction of the old and the new, Fromm place physical sculptures and ceramics within digital environments, creating a style that serves as a colourful antidote to reality.

Fromm’s creations are rooted in camp, kitsch and pop-culture, inspired by old European aesthetics and mythical narratives, often being referred to as the new traditional.

Faerdom is an exhibition of digital and handmade artworks that explore mythical narratives through digital media.

Faerdom is a modern fantasy world based on folklore, historical narratives and fairy tales, where heroes, saints and mythical creatures live in harmony and evoke a new sense of time and place.

The collection features a mix of moving images created with photogrammetry and motion tracking, as well as physical 3D-printed ceramic sculptures designed by Fromm Studio and modelled by Singaporean artist Priscilla Pang.

The mythical kingdom of Camelot is the inspiration behind the three-dimensional sculptures of King Arthur, Queen Guinevere, Merlin and Morgan Le Fay. The design of the sculptures is based on the ceramic “Toby Jug” figures from Staffordshire in England.
