MACA Museum presents ‘Banksy & Street Art: The Early Years’, an exhibition of rare drawings, stencils, photographs and paintings that provide a fascinating and revealing insight into Banksy’s early working methods and creative processes.
Banksy & Street Art: The Early Years explores Banksy’s origins in the early 1990s as a freehand graffiti artist in his hometown of Bristol, England and part of the Bristol underground scene with fellow artists DBZ Crew, Nick Walker, 3D and Inkie through to his meteoric rise as one of the most admired, acclaimed and controversial artists of the 21st century.
Banksy's public art installations continue to stimulate social and political commentary throughout the world whilst inspiring a generation of international artists, many of whom are included within the exhibition.
